The Long Night of Music

Saturday, May 4, 2019
from 8 pm to 3 am

ONE NIGHT – ONE CITY – 400 CONCERTS
Entry: 18 € incl. Shuttle Buses

What is the Long Night of Music?
It’s only once a year that more than a hundred music venues join forces to offer this musical spectacle: Live concerts, dance performances, cabaret and tours all about music will be on offer in downtown Munich from 8 pm to 3 am. With just one ticket, a “Kombiticket” for 18 Euros, visitors can gain admission to all the venues and use Munich Transit’s MVG Shuttle Buses too. But what’s really special about Munich is that the venues will be as versatile as the music: cultural institutions and bars, concert houses and pubs, large halls and such smaller gems as churches and shops – they will all be welcoming music-hungry night owls. There is no prescribed route – everyone can put together their own concert plan or simply let themselves be carried along with the night.

Concerts and music
We’ve put together the program, now you have the choice! And it won’t be easy with all that’s on offer: rock and pop, classic and church music, folk, jazz, Latin, reggae, singer-songwriters, soul, swing and a whole lot more. A number of Munich bands will be sharing the stages with international and national guests.

The ticket
costs 18 Euros and is valid for admission to all participating venues as well as for travel on MVG Shuttle Buses. This “Kombiticket” comes as a bracelet worn on the attendee’s wrist for the entire evening. Printed tickets from Munich Ticket will be exchanged for bracelets at the first ticket box the attendee visits.
Persons accompanying someone with serious disabilities will have free admission to the event without a ticket as long as the letter B appears on the disabled person’s identity document and the notice “Entitlement to take along one accompanying person has been approved” (or any similar indication on the disabled person’s equivalent national document).

Pre-sale
Tickets are available at all participating venues and partners for 18 Euros. At other pre-sale agents, additional fees will be charged. Online orders are possible up to 10 days before the event at www.muenchenticket.de.

On the evening
On Saturday evening, bracelets will be available for 18 Euros each at the ticket boxes of all participating venues and at the ticket tent, “Kassenzelt,” at the Odeonsplatz starting at 1 pm.

Shuttle Buses
All venues will be accessed every 10 minutes by one of four shuttle routes from 7.40 pm until 3 am. The hub for all four routes is at the Odeonsplatz. The names on the buses indicate which route those buses take: 91 Center/Zentrum, 92 Southwest/Südwest, 93 Schwabing/Schwabing and 94 East/Ost. You can hop on or off at any stop, switch routes whenever you like or patch together your own personal tour of the event.
You will have to take normal city transit to get to the Hide Out, GOP Varieté, Pfarrkirche (Parish Church) Mariahilf and WERK7 Theater.

Open End
All the venues where you can continue to celebrate “The Long Night of Music” even after 3 am are labeled with a moon symbol. Open End
