Glyptothek

The Glyptothek is Munich’s oldest public museum, opened in 1830. Behind its newly restored temple façade lies one of the most beautiful and renowned collections of Greek and Roman sculpture. Highlights include the Barberini Faun from the Hellenistic period, the archaic and early Classical pediment sculptures from the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina, and an outstanding collection of Roman portraits.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy food and refreshments at the museum’s café.
