Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau (Lenbach House and Art Building)
Evening program at this museum
- 18:00–01:00 Visit the Exhibitions and Hands-On Activities
The Lenbachhaus features the world's largest collection of the Blue Rider (Der Blaue Reiter) art movement. Works by Kandinsky, Münter, Marc, and their companions offer insight into one of the most exciting phases of modernism. Here, art history comes alive. A place to see, understand, and linger. Also on display are "Was zu verschwinden droht" featuring 19th-century works and "Shifting the Silence" featuring contemporary art.
6:00 PM – 12:00 AM: Die Laterne (The Lantern) is a space to linger, read, experiment, and engage in artistic processes. For the Long Night, the doors are open: so come on in and take a look around. At "Up in die Laterne!", guests can come and go as they please. There are hands-on activities, but you can also just stay for a drink, take a break, read something, look around, or strike up a conversation.
