Odeonsplatz
Odeonsplatz 3, 80539 München
Odeonsplatz is one of the most central places in Munich: Picturesquely situated at the southernmost point of Ludwigsstraße, which runs through Schwabing; surrounded by the Theatinerkirche, Feldherrnhalle and the Residenz; a postcard motif with a rich history.
Odeonsplatz is a central location for the Long Night of Music, and not just geographically. All bus lines start and end there. If you want to change from one bus tour to another, you can do so at the equestrian monument to Ludwig I. But Odeonsplatz is not only practical for changing buses.
The Long Night of Music ticket and information tent is located directly in front of the Feldherrnhalle. Last-minute visitors can buy a ticket here and then set off for the Long Night. If you have any questions about bus tours or venues, you can also get in touch here. But even if you no longer need tickets or have any questions, you are welcome to simply drop by for a chat and enjoy the atmosphere. And fortify yourself at our catering partners for your next destination at the music night:
- at Blue Cantina there are sandwiches, sausages, chips and cool drinks
- Marlene's vintage cocktail trolley prepares cocktails for toasting together
- Theo's Kalimera coffee trolley gives you the caffeine kick to keep you going
- and at Werner's ice bike you can sweeten the start of the night with one or more delicious scoops of ice cream.
10 May 1933 is regarded as a fateful day in history: books that the National Socialists considered "shameful" were burned across Germany. For many years, public readings from these "burnt books" have been organised on 10 May, including on Odeonsplatz between 12 noon and 3 pm.
We are delighted that we will once again be able to offer live music at Odeonsplatz this year to set the mood. Listen to:
