Mr. B's

The 28-year-old Berlin-based artist William Chee-Awai is a Swedish-born American with Trinidadian roots. His band, The Chee-Awai Project, is based in Berlin and plays groovy psychedelic folk-rock songs that are riff-based, catchy and tell stories. Live, they do beautiful and dramatic performances, often leaving room for improvisation. Chee-Awai sings and plays guitar.

Theresa, Xaver and Jakob Portenlänger of Xaver's have taken over Mister B's to maintain this special live music bar in a classic setting. Fine drinks in a personal, uncomplicated atmosphere. Small and cozy. The bar is easy to miss. A storefront window, a few steps, a narrow entrance. Two illuminated signs indicate in the evening that a small boazn for traditional jazz and other live events by young artists is hidden there. A gem in the Munich bar world.
