Unfortunately, it has come to light at short notice that halls and areas in the former Gasteig are not yet ready and the interim project Fat Cat can therefore unfortunately not participate in the Long Night of Music after all.
There is still missing technology in the event halls, official permits, artistic design elements etc. It will take a few more weeks until the first big performance.

Therefore, we are even more pleased to announce that the four barbershop choirs A Cappella Company, Herrenbesuch, AGWA and SomeSing will perform in the courtyard of the Gasteig from 8 p.m. to midnight.

A Cappella Company - Dachau's first barbershop women's choir
Under the direction of Mareike Meise, the 45 women sing from their mixed repertoire, which ranges from swing to pop pieces. With their passion, performance elements and singing they create a sound rich in overtones. With great fun, the choir is dedicated to barbershop singing, a special musical genre within a cappella music. This year they will compete for the first time at the German Championships for Barbershop Singing.

AGWA - that are two men from Munich, one from Gröbenzell near Munich, and one from Immenthal in the Allgäu, who play music together as a male quartet - mainly in barbershop style. Following a famous pop group from Sweden, the name AGWA is composed of the first names of the singers: Arno Rabenstein (lead), Georg Bothmann (bass), Wolfgang Bauer (baritone), Arno Braun (tenor).

Herrenbesuch... the singing Rosenkavaliere from munich
Herrenbesuch was founded in 2006 as a barbershop men's choir. Today, over 30 men of all ages sing since 2022 under the direction of Andrew Rembecki.
Self-confident, likeable and always close to the audience, the singing Rosenkavaliere see themselves as real entertainers. In addition to typical barbershop arrangements, the wide-ranging repertoire features rock and pop, gospel, swing tunes and Christmas songs. In German, English, Bavarian, and always a cappella.

SomeSing is the acting German champion quartet in barbershop singing. The great strength of Thorsten, Sandra, Gabriele and Dominik is their close friendship, which supports their harmonious sound and the fun they have singing together. The voice distribution is unique in a mixed barbershop quartet: bass and tenor are sung by the men, the middle voices are taken over by the ladies.

The concert is a cooperation with BinG! Barbershop in Germany e.V., the German professional association for barbershop singing - an a cappella music style. A nationwide, highly specialized association for all choirs and quartets dedicated to barbershop singing.
