Scratching through the Surface – Carmen Schaich, Ottjörg A.C.

Carmen Schaich uses a slingshot to deliberately shoot glass plates, which she then runs through a printing press. During his travels, Ottjörg A.C. made prints of more than 300 school desks, capturing the carvings left behind on their surfaces. The exhibition demonstrates how marks on surfaces can be intentional acts of damage that convey messages of their own. Curated by Jeannine Burch and Ludwig Seyfarth.
