  • 18:00–01:00 Visit the Pinakothek

The Alte Pinakothek is one of Europe’s most important art galleries, presenting masterpieces from one of the world’s largest collections of European painting from the 14th to the 18th century.
Discover more than 700 outstanding paintings, including world-famous works by Dürer and Rubens, as well as masterpieces by Raphael, Titian, Altdorfer, Cranach, Brueghel, van Dyck, Rembrandt, Poussin, and Murillo.
A special highlight awaits visitors on the museum’s ground floor: because the Neue Pinakothek is currently closed for renovation, its most important works are temporarily on display in the Alte Pinakothek. Take this unique opportunity to experience masterpieces by van Gogh, Goya, Caspar David Friedrich, Turner, Manet, Cézanne, and Monet alongside the treasures of the Alte Pinakothek.
Look forward to an extraordinary journey through 500 years of art history, brought together under one roof and presented in the unique atmosphere of the Long Night of Munich Museums.

A very long, wide staircase rises through a tall brick corridor as numerous visitors walk up and down the steps.

Numerous people stand and walk across the paved forecourt in front of the illuminated façade of the Alte Pinakothek at night.
