  • 14:00–17:00 Romans: Deeply in Love

Smitten Romans

In Roman times, people wrote vows of love or curses on small lead tablets. With the help of the gods, they hoped to charm someone or otherwise influence them. These tablets were used in private life, but also at chariot races and even in business. In our museum workshop, you can create engraved metal tablets and friendship bracelets.

(For children ages 6 to 12, on-site spaces are limited.)
In cooperation with the Museumspädagogisches Zentrum (MPZ)

Two children stand in front of a bright wall with an interactive text projection. Numerous German and English words are projected across the wall, floor and partly onto their clothing as the children raise their hands to interact.
