Kunstraum München (Art Room Munich)

Carsten Focks's artistic practice operates at the intersection of landscape, the history of painting, and postwar German-German history. In the exhibition “Fault Lines,” he explores the extent to which contemporary social transformations, such as the rise of right-wing political movements, social fragmentation, and the polarization of public discourse can be reflected in aesthetic forms, and what responsibility painting bears in times of political uncertainty.
