Tracing Echoes. From Westerwald to Rio Tinto
In video works and photographs, Anne Quirynen and Sandra Schäfer will explore the question of how a region, its landscape and agricultural use have changed over the course of time. The works range from the Minas de Riotinto, one of the oldest copper mines in the world in Spain, on to Germany's Westerwald, where August Sander's photographic project “Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts” (People of the 20th Century) began, and onward still to the planet Mars.
