Technology
All aboard, please - no one is left behind here! The Verkehrszentrum (Transport Center) invites you to take an exciting and relaxing night-time stroll through the past, present and future of mobility. You can enjoy experiencing travel as kings once did in the carriage simulator, steer a train through Berlin in the S-Bahn simulator or test the technology of tomorrow in the Supra-Glider. You can also try out the “crazy” bikes in the inner courtyard. Those who prefer to just watch can let themselves be impressed by demonstrations of the S3/6 steam locomotive or the “Puffing Billy." Guided tours through the three historic halls require a bit of physical activity: In Hall I, you can learn all about urban transit yesterday and today. In Hall II, you can experience the history of travel from antiquity to the present day. And in Hall III, there are innovations to discover that people have used to expand their mobility in order to live out their urge to journey afar.
