On Saturday, May 10, Munich celebrated its musical diversity, its venues, its event locations and its creativity. The special thing about it: Live music awaited visitors almost everywhere, in the most diverse places and in the most diverse variations. Whether concert halls, theaters, cultural institutions, bars, cafés, restaurants, hotels, dance schools, numerous churches, bookshop, wine shop, swimming pool or climbing hall - they could all be visited on this night with just one ticket.

The offer was as varied as the locations: You could see and hear almost every conceivable style of music, dance classes or performances, presented by solo artists, bands, ensembles, DJs and here and there perhaps even by the audience itself.

The list of participating institutions ranged from long-established to new to very special venues. Among them were the Gasteig HP8, the Night Club in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, the Vintage Club dance school, the Giesinger Bräustüberl, the Iberl Bühne, the Münchner Künstlerhaus, the Park Café, the Alte Utting or the Shamrock Irish Pub and the Umadum ferris wheel.

But there were also many places that are not typical concert venues: the Boxwerk showed an unusual side, as does Café Rischart on Marienplatz and the Lehmkuhl bookshop - oh what a night!
