Museum Fünf Kontinente

Japanese shorts and a musical trip around the world
Throughout the entire Long Night, you can see in blocks of shorts a number of surprising films from the Land of the Rising Sun. Not only cinema enthusiasts, but theatergoers everywhere can look forward to discovering how much to see between Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” and Ishiro Honda’s “Godzilla,” features usually one can only see at international festivals. The Museum Fünf Kontinente is showing it all!
And even more, several musicians will be inviting visitors on a musical trip around the world. In the middle of audiences viewing the international exhibitions, they will be playing a series of cross-cultural sound waves.
The special exhibition “Collecting Japan. Philipp Franz von Siebold’s “Vision of the Far East,” which opened only several days before, is a highlight of the Long Night at the Museum Fünf Kontinente. All exhibitions, the museum café max2 and the museum shop Caravanserai are open.
