Savior’s Church, the Salvatorkirche, is one of Munich’s oldest, built in 1495 as a cemetery chapel. And it also represents a true rarity in church history: You enter a Gothic, typically Occidental medieval house of worship which is, however, part of the Greek non-United Orthodox Eastern Church. House of Worship of the Savior, nexus of Hellenism and heart of Bavarian philhellenism.
